Data Protection
Your information, your rights.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This page explains your data protection rights in relation to the touchin grass. iPhone app (the “App”) and the touchingrass.app website (the “Website”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1Our approach
The App is designed so that we do not need your personal information to provide it.
Your plans and preferences are stored on your iPhone, not on our systems. There is no account. Calendar access is optional and read-only.
2What we may hold
We hold personal information only in limited situations:
- When you contact us for support.
- Technical request information processed by Cloudflare when you visit the Website.
- Crash and usage reports Apple may make available to us, if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers.
Apple, not us, holds information about your App Store purchase.
3Why we use it
We use support messages to respond to you and fix problems you report. Technical request information is used to deliver the Website and protect it from misuse. Crash reports are used to find and fix problems in the App.
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing support, keeping the Website secure and keeping the App working, or on steps you ask us to take.
4Information on your iPhone
Because your plans are stored on your iPhone, you control them directly. You can change or delete them in the App, and deleting the App removes the information it stored on your iPhone.
We cannot see, access, export or restore information stored by the App on your iPhone.
5Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you the right to:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete information.
- Ask us to restrict or stop using information.
- Object to our use of information based on legitimate interests.
- Ask for information you provided to be transferred to you or another organisation.
To make a request, contact us through the Support page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
6Calendar permission
You can withdraw calendar access at any time in the App’s settings or in the iOS Settings app. Withdrawing access does not affect your calendars or their events.
7Sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.
Information is processed by service providers only where needed to provide the Website, such as Cloudflare for hosting and security, and by Apple for App Store distribution and purchases.
8Complaints
If you have a concern about how information is handled, please contact us first through the Support page so we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
